Motorway has teamed up with Mobilize Financial Services to offer end-of-term cars on finance to dealers as an additional stock source.
Mobilize Financial Services is the vehicle financing partner of Renault Group and Nissan in the UK.
At the end of the finance contract, the registered keeper profiles the vehicle and records any damage through a dedicated app designed by Motorway for remarketing partners.
Once profiled, the vehicle is auctioned directly to dealers on Motorway’s platform.
When the vehicle is won by a dealer a BVRLA-compliant inspection is completed at the customer’s doorstep, through an inspection app.
The car is then collected from the registered keeper and transported directly to the purchasing dealer.
Motorway said that by removing storage facilities and bypassing physical auction houses, it was reducing operational complexity, improving value retention and delivering a faster turnaround for remarketing partners and dealers.
Tom Leathes, CEO and co-founder of Motorway, said: “For nearly 10 years, Motorway has worked to rebuild how used cars get bought and sold. We started with private sellers, and we’re now applying the same model to remarketing.
Brian Williams, CEO of Mobilize Financial Services UK, said: “Our new partnership with Motorway represents a significant strategic advancement, fundamentally reshaping how we bring high-quality used vehicles to our dealer networks, delivering improved speed and efficiency.”
