Chinese brand Lepas has appointed its first UK dealer partners as it prepares for the launch of its first model, the range-topping L8 SUV, in Q3.

The brand, which stands for Leopard and is owned by Chery, aims to appoint a nationwide network of up to 90 dealerships within its first 12 months of operation.

Today it announces the first tranche of franchise partners who, between them, will operate some 42 full-service dealerships stretching from the Highlands to the south coast.

Among the first to open outlets will be Arnold Clark, Allen Motor Group, Parks, Brindley, Cars2 and Peoples.

Ray Wang, managing director of Lepas UK, said: “This is a very special moment for Lepas in the UK.

“We are dedicated to ensuring that the Lepas ownership experience is exceptional for every customer and so we are carefully curating our network so customer care always remains at its very heart.”

“The fact that our first tranche of dealer partners includes some of the largest and best-known names in automotive retail underlines the excitement and confidence the industry has in LEPAS and the range of exciting models we will be rolling out.”
