Vertu has appointed Lucy DiClemente as its head of business at its Land Rover dealership in Nelson.
She will be responsible for day-to-day operations of the dealership on Lomeshaye Business Park and will report directly to James Boyd, who recently took up the role of market area general manager for Vertu’s Land Rover sites in the North West of England.
“I’m delighted to be given the opportunity to take up the role of Head of Business at such an important dealership within the Group.
“This move comes at an exciting time for the dealership, with the arrival of JLR’s first fully electric model on the horizon, and I’m hopeful that my experience working at an award-winning BEV site will prove to be beneficial when the Range Rover Electric hits the showroom later this year.
“It has been a privilege to lead such a talented team at MINI York in recent years, and I’m now looking forward to not only working with my new colleagues at Nelson, but also to developing new relationships with another premium manufacturer.”
DiClemente has more than a decade of experience in automotive, working with MINI.
Most recently based at Vertu MINI York in the role of brand manager, she has built a strong reputation for delivering an outstanding customer experience while supporting the development and progression of colleagues.
Robert Forrester, Chief Executive of Vertu Motors, said: “Lucy has played a pivotal role in the success of Vertu MINI York in recent years, and it’s fantastic to see her moving into her new role running Land Rover Nelson.
“She has consistently demonstrated the ability to build high-performing teams, deliver outstanding results and create a positive environment for both customers and colleagues.
“I have no doubt she will drive the dealership forward, and seize this opportunity with both hands.”
