The RRG Group is celebrating two of its longest-serving employees, Norman Kay and Richard Hinkley, who have retired after a combined 101 years of service.

Kay retired after 52 years with RRG Toyota, while Hinkley retired after 49 years with the business.

Arran Bangham, vice chairman of the RRG Group, said: “The retirements of Norman and Richard mark a significant moment in RRG’s history.

“Their combined 101 years of service is an incredible achievement and reflects the commitment, professionalism and loyalty that have always been at the heart of our business.

“Both have made an enormous contribution to RRG, our colleagues and our customers. On behalf of everyone at RRG, we thank them for their dedication and wish them long, happy and well-deserved retirements.”

Kay joined RRG in 1974, just a few years after the company established its first Toyota franchise.

He held several key roles, including workshop foreman, service manager, service advisor and warranty supervisor, becoming one of the longest-serving employees within the Toyota dealer network.

Hinkley joined the business in 1977 at the original Radcliffe Road Garage, beginning his career in the parts department.

In the late 1980s, he moved to Elton Garage and was promoted to parts manager in 1988.

He then moved with the dealership when it relocated to the current RRG Toyota Bury site.
