What Car? Has revealed the winners of its Electric Car Awards 2026.

The awards, decided annually by What Car?’s team of testers, celebrate new and used electrified vehicles, spanning everything from performance to best value used cars.

BMW UK has secured five accolades at the 2026 What Car? Electric Car Awards. The soon-to-be-launched BMW i3 Saloon received the coveted 2026 Readers’ Choice Award.

The BMW X5 xDrive45e was voted this year’s Best Used Hybrid Premium SUV while the BMW i5 Touring was also named Best Used Electric Estate.

The BMW 330e topped the 2026 Used Hybrid Executive Car category and the BMW iX3 was named Best Used Electric Premium SUV.

Kia is a four-time winner with the EV4 (Best Electric Family Car), EV3 (Best Electric Small SUV), PV5 Passenger (Best Electric MPV), and e-Niro (Best Used Electric Value Car).

Hyundai has won three titles including Best Electric Performance Car for the IONIQ 6 N, the current TUCSON (Best Used Hybrid Family SUV), and the previous-generation SANTA FE (Best Used Hybrid Seven-Seat MPV).

MG won three categories with MG4 EV Urban (Best Electric Small Car), MG HS PHEV (Best Hybrid Family SUV), and MGS9 PHEV (Best Hybrid 7-Seat SUV).

Volkswagen picked up two awards with the ID.7 Tourer (Best Electric Estate) and the VW Passat (Best Used Hybrid Estate).

Škoda also picked up two awards with the Superb Estate iV (Best Hybrid Estate) and the Enyaq (Best Used Electric Family SUV).

The Honda Super-N was named Best Value Car, highlighting its balance of affordability, practicality and electric performance.
