Renault UK used the Commercial Vehicle Show in Birmingham to officially launch a new mobile servicing service based on the Renault Master.

Phase one of the programme has seen seven converted Renault Master vans deployed in select UK regions including Brighton, Stockport, Oldham, Edinburgh, West London and Swansea.

Renault UK’s ambition is to grow the fleet to 25 mobile units across its dealer network.

The mobile servicing vans are designed to reduce vehicle downtime by bringing expert maintenance and servicing directly to customers’ premises.

The mobile servicing vans are equipped to carry out scheduled maintenance and servicing, diagnostics and software updates, battery checks and filter replacements, oil, brake fluid and coolant changes, as well as minor warranty repairs.

Based on a long wheelbase/high roof body style fitted with the Blue dCi 150 engine, each converted van has been fitted with a toolkit and specialist equipment tailored for real-world mobile servicing, including almost 70 individual tools alongside electrical infrastructure, compressor systems and advanced diagnostic capability.

By handling a broad range of maintenance tasks away from a retailer, Renault’s dealer network can reserve workshop capacity for work that requires more specialist equipment.

Saqib Qureshi, national fleet aftersales manager, Renault UK, said: “Our mobile servicing vans are designed to make aftersales support as convenient and flexible as possible for our fleet customers.

“By bringing servicing directly to their site, we can help reduce downtime, improve uptime and offer appointments that fit around their working day. It’s also a great illustration of how well the Renault Master adapts to specialist conversion requirements.”
