Used-car marketplace Motorway has launched Oto a stock assistant dealers can message on WhatsApp to find the vehicles they need.
Dealers message Oto on WhatsApp whenever they need stock, in their own words like “Got any silver XC40s under £20k near me?”
“Show me the best hybrids in today’s auction”, or “Any X5s under 60k miles?” Oto searches the live auction and replies in seconds on WhatsApp with matching cars, photos, key details and a link to bid.
Dealers can then narrow it down just by replying: “only diesels”, “nothing over 40k miles”, or “within 30 miles”.
Following a period of beta testing with a group of dealers, Motorway said early signals show dealers are finding relevant stock more quickly and with less manual effort.
Oto is the first of a series of AI-powered tools Motorway is building to make sourcing stock faster and simpler for dealers.
