Mazda targets Personal Contract Hire sales ahead of Mazda6e launch

Mazda dealers in the UK will significantly increase their promotion of Personal Contract Hire (PCH) as a funding option to both retail and local fleet customers.

Mazda is targeting an 18% increase in PCH sales across its UK dealer network in 2026.

Jeremy Thomson, managing director at Mazda Motors UK, said: “The Mazda6e will have a strong appeal for both retail and local fleet customers, which is why we have developed a competitive PCH offering ahead of its launch.

“We’ve identified a need to have a more compelling financial proposition for retail customers, many of whom are going into showrooms looking for cost-effective leasing alternatives to PCPs because not everyone wants the option to own a car at the end of its finance term.

“Having a strong PCH offering in the market will enable our dealer network to talk to customers about the most affordable finance solutions for their individual requirements. We believe this move will appeal to existing customers and help drive conquest sales.”

Mazda believes PCH will appeal to both private and business customers, particularly as demand grows for affordable and predictable ways to access new EVs.

Compared with traditional Personal Contract Purchase (PCP), Mazda feels PCH offers a clearer cost structure.

Monthly PCH rentals for the Mazda6e will start from £399 (including VAT).

Mazda will also more actively promote PCH across its existing vehicle range, broadening customer awareness of the product and strengthening its overall finance proposition.
