MarketCheck has revealed that April was the strongest month on record for used electric van sales in the UK.

A total of 1,051 used electric vans were sold, marking the first time the market has broken through the 1,000-unit mark in a single month.

Alastair Campbell, MarketCheck UK, said: “April was a landmark month for the used electric van market. For the first time, more than 1,000 units were sold in a single month, underlining the growing demand for electric commercial vehicles.

“What’s particularly notable is that this growth has come while prices remain significantly below the levels seen two or three years ago – lower entry costs are making electric vans a possible option for a much wider range of businesses.

“The combination of record sales and substantially lower prices suggests the used electric van market is now entering a new phase of growth.”

The previous record was set just one month earlier, with 967 used electric vans sold in March 2026 – compared with April 2025, when 474 units were sold.

In May 2023, just 177 used electric vans were sold across the UK.

Prices remain significantly below previous years – the average last listed price of a used electric van in April 2026 was £17,027.

This represents a modest increase from £16,552 in March but remains substantially below the £22,485 average recorded in May 2023.
