Formula One Autocentres has acquired 35 ex-ATS Euromaster sites to bring its network to 170 centres, securing 130 jobs.

The move, flagged up in February, comes as ATS Euromaster continues a structured retreat from its UK business after reporting that its network was no longer viable.

ATS Euromaster began winding down its operations in February following heavy losses, with more than 700 roles initially at risk.

The wider plan also includes the sale of 14 other sites to S&M Tyres, which trades as Elite Garages, in a separate deal aimed at preserving additional employment.

The original plan called for ATS Euromaster to sell 35 of its 152 points of sale to Formula One Autocentres, and 14 points of sale to S&M Tyres, which trades as Elite Garages.

Nick Harley, group managing Director of Euromaster UK, said in February: “Today’s announcement marks an extremely sad and difficult moment for everyone in the company.

“We recognise the impact this will have on our colleagues, their families, and the communities ATS Euromaster serves, and it is not a decision we have taken lightly.”
