BCA has opened a new Battery Repair Centre at its Doncaster site.
The facility offers the services – carried out to OEM standards – when the manufacturer warranty has expired or become invalidated.
The centre offers diagnosis, insulation testing, module repair and replacement, casing repairs, and drive motor replacements.
Also provided is cellular balancing, DC charger and inverter repairs, green parts supply where available and high voltage component replacement.
BCA additionally carries out on-site battery repair at the Renault Import Centre in Portbury, supporting Renault UK with traction battery maintenance facilities.
BCA has consistently enhanced its service offering to meet the growing needs of the EV sector, launching its EV battery report service late in 2024 in partnership with AVILOO, the global leader in this space.
Batteries on sale cars are graded from A to E, resulting in significantly higher sale conversion rates, improved average values and a shorter time to sale for both passenger cars and electric LCVs.
Alongside this, BCA’s specialist EV/Hybrid Assured Report includes testing the charging capability of the vehicles, the state of the charge port and availability of charge cables, ensuring trade buyers have all the detail they need to make an informed purchasing decision.
Paul Bromley, managing director of BCA Fleet Solutions said: “The new BCA Battery Repair Centre provides a one-stop solution for electric vehicle repairs for our customers.
“Rather than simply replacing expensive batteries, we investigate the cause and repair or replace components, delivering a cost-effective and timely solution that means EVs and hybrid vehicles can be repaired and offered for sale without undue delay.”
