Luscombe Motors has paid out £170,000 in profit share bonuses to employees following a record year for the business.

The group has been diversifying with the opening of a 400 sq m Omoda Jaecoo showroom.

It has also invested in aftersales, refurbishing a 1,000 sq m workshop, the addition of a second MOT testing lane and the recruitment of technicians.

Looking ahead, Luscombe Motors expects to exceed 100 employees, deliver around 5,000 new and used vehicles, generate more than £4mn in parts sales and achieve turnover in excess of £100m during the current financial year.

Chairman Robin Luscombe said: “This business has never been about one person. Every vehicle we sell, every service we complete, every part we deliver and every customer we look after relies on people working together.

“We wanted our profit share scheme to reflect that philosophy, because everyone contributes to our success and everyone deserves to share in it.

“We firmly believe that if you look after your staff, they will look after your customers. That has always been our approach and I believe it is one of the main reasons we continue to grow.”
