West Riding Group has acquired Bolton Car Centre (BCC Bury), bringing its total of Hyundai showrooms to four, with existing sites in Bolton, Colne and Salford.

The expansion comes as part of Hyundai Motor UK’s broader retail network evolution strategy.

Nick Wright (pictured centre), MD of West Riding Group, said: “As a family-owned business that has represented Hyundai for over a decade, we’re delighted to strengthen our partnership through this strategic acquisition.

“We believe there is a strong alignment between our companies’ values and vision, and with Hyundai’s class-leading electric vehicles and award-winning product range, we see tremendous opportunity for growth in the Greater Manchester area.

“This acquisition is just the first step in our planned expansion, and we look forward to delivering the best possible service for our customers.”

Hyundai Motor UK is growing its number of showrooms nationwide but the sites are operated by a smaller number of partners, building closer relationships.

West Riding Group plans further expansion in the region alongside Hyundai Motor UK.

Ashley Andrew, President of Hyundai Motor UK, said: “West Riding Group’s expansion in Greater Manchester exemplifies exactly what we’re trying to achieve with our network evolution strategy.

“They have consistently demonstrated their ability to deliver the premium experience our customers expect, and this acquisition will help us better serve one of our key market areas.

“As our brand continues to evolve with exciting new products like the forthcoming IONIQ 9, it’s crucial that we have strong, committed partners like West Riding Group who can grow alongside us and maintain the high standards our customers deserve.”
