Vertu has appointed Rav Mangat as general manager at its Nissan site in Tamworth.

Mangat has over 30 years of automotive industry experience and has held a number of senior management positions with a range of organisations across the sector.

He said: “It’s fantastic to have joined Vertu, and to have the opportunity to take on the General Manager role at such an important site for the Group in the West Midlands.

“Having worked with Nissan for a large part of my career, it’s exciting to be involved once again with the brand as it evolves to meet the changing needs of customers, particularly as more people consider hybrid and electric vehicles.

“I’m looking forward to working with colleagues at the site to showcase new and innovative models such as the Leaf and the Micra, alongside established favourites like the Qashqai, to customers from Tamworth and beyond.”

Having spent around a third of his career working with the Nissan brand, he will now oversee the day-to-day running of Vertu Nissan Tamworth, which is located on Ventura Park Road, close to Cardinal Point Retail Park.

The Tamworth site was acquired by Vertu back in 2023 following the collapse of Cazoo into administration and was transformed into Vertu’s 13th Nissan dealership following an extensive refurbishment programme and investment of more than £400,000.

Vertu Nissan Tamworth offers the full range of new and approved used Nissan vehicles, alongside MOT and servicing facilities.

Robert Forrester, Chief Executive of Vertu, said: “Nissan Tamworth is a key dealership for us in the West Midlands and we are delighted to welcome Rav as General Manager.

“His extensive experience with the Nissan brand and wider knowledge of the automotive industry make him the ideal person to lead the dealership as we continue to deliver the best possible customer experience to people from Tamworth and the surrounding area.”
