The National Franchised Dealers Association (NFDA) is highlighting the wide range of career opportunities available across automotive retail as students receive their A-level results today
Through its apprentice-focused website, Drive My Career, NFDA is working to raise awareness of the opportunities available and challenge outdated perceptions of working in automotive.
Earlier this year, NFDA partnered with Capital City College on a new student internship programme launching in September, providing hands-on workplace experience and insight into areas including vehicle sales and Finance & Insurance, as well as the wider work of NFDA.
Sue Robinson, Chief Executive of NFDA, said: “Automotive retail is a modern and diverse industry, with careers spanning sales, finance, marketing, IT, communications, customer service, aftersales and technical roles.
“There are opportunities to learn, develop new skills and build a long-term career.”
Robinson added: “We want young people to know that there is more to automotive than they might expect and that their skills and ambitions can take them in many different directions. Results day is a great opportunity to start exploring what those possibilities could look like.”
