Hendy Group is investing in new showroom facilities in Crawley (West Sussex), Poole (Dorset) and Tonbridge (Kent), to accommodate BYD.
The launches have involved refurbishment of Hendy’s existing facilities in Crawley and Poole, and the relocation of the Hendy Tonbridge dealership to a larger site.
Paul Hendy, Chief Executive Officer at Hendy Group, said: “Our collaboration with BYD has proved to be very successful so we’re acting quickly to build on the momentum.
“The brand is proving hugely popular with customers across our network, and these latest investments will help us make the most of that growing demand, as well as meet current and future requirement for aftersales support.”
In Crawley, Hendy has opened a new BYD showroom at Manor Royal Business Park alongside its existing Hendy Nissan and Ford Transit Centre operations.
Hendy has also made a significant investment in a dedicated new BYD showroom on Wallisdown Road in Poole.
In Tonbridge, strong local demand for BYD models has led Hendy to relocate its existing dealership from Avebury Avenue to a larger facility at Brook Farm on Five Oak Green Road.
The move provides more space for new and used BYD models, additional customer parking and improved aftersales facilities.
The site features a new workshop and paint and body repair facility.
Newly trained Hendy staff will showcase BYD’s expanding UK model range, from the Dolphin compact hatchback to the brand’s best-seller in the UK, the Seal U DM-I plug-in hybrid family SUV.
