Carwow has sold LCV stock with a combined value of over £13.3m in the first six months of adding LCVs to its online daily auctions. The volumes of listings averages more than 500 each month.

More than 300 dealers per month have placed bids for LCVs since November and the total volume of bids placed has exceeded 10,000.

Sally Foote, CCO – Sell my Car at Carwow, said: “Supply and demand in the used LCV market is highly active at present as an increasing number of tradespeople seek lower-emission alternatives.

“We expect the sale of used camper vans and conversion vehicles to pick up this quarter as the holiday (and festival) season approaches, with dealers turning to Carwow as a trusted and reliable stock-sourcing partner.

“We have also seen the number of dealers bidding in our daily auctions rise by 48% in Q1, partly due to the addition of LCV stock. With low buyer fees and ultimate peace of mind from our BuySafe initiative, we enable dealers to acquire a huge range of cars and LCVs from a nationwide pool of private sellers.”

Around one third of the LCV listings were vans with the VW Transporter identified as the most listed model. Of the other LCV listings, the Ford Ranger pick-up was the most listed model.

Average sale price on all Carwow auctions in Q1, LCVs and cars, tracked below cap Clean for the fourth consecutive quarter, and dealer profitability was aided by low buyer fees.
