Athenea Automotive Group has confirmed franchise additions at six sites across its estate through Q3 and continuing into Q4.

Suzuki has been added to three sites in a single quarter, increasing the Group’s Suzuki representation to five locations. The dealer group will also represent Hyundai, Seat and Cupra, and Renault and Dacia.

Dave Carter, franchise managing director at Athenea Automotive Group, said: “When we set out our vision in July we told the market we would work with our manufacturer partners to unlock more value across our existing estate.

“Six brand appointments at six sites in rapid succession is that plan in action. It reflects the strength of the relationships we have built with each manufacturer, and the pace at which we are prepared to move to give our customers more choice. And this is only the first wave.”

Cannock and Thurrock, both established used car centres within the estate, are already trading successfully under Suzuki, while Milton Keynes has now completed the rollout.

Hyundai will join the dealer group’s Romford operation in early Q4. SEAT and Cupra are set to arrive at the group’s Solihull site in November.

Renault and Dacia will be located at the group’s Oxford site on Botley Road in Q4.

Further network additions are planned, with a second wave of announcements set to follow which will move the business to over 90 franchise dealerships.
