Chery UK has raised over £25,000 for CarFest’s charity partners, following a successful prize draw.
The donation was presented on the main stage on 29 August, where brand ambassador Sir Mo Farah joined event founder Chris Evans to reveal the fundraising total.
Farrell Hsu, managing director at Chery UK, said: “CarFest perfectly reflects the values that are important to us as a brand – family, community and making a positive difference.
“We are incredibly proud to have raised £25,000 for such worthy causes and are truly grateful to everyone who entered the prize draw and visited us throughout the event weekend.
“Having Sir Mo Farah join us for the cheque presentation made the moment even more special, and it was fantastic to see so many families engaging with our activities, exploring our cars and celebrating with us as we mark our first year in the UK market.”
Chery UK’s CarFest Charity Prize Draw gave one lucky entrant the opportunity to win a brand-new Chery TIGGO 4 CSH Summit.
All proceeds are being donated to CarFest’s charity partners, including BBC Children in Need, Ellen MacArthur Cancer Trust, Rainbow Trust Children’s Charity, Teenage Cancer Trust, Starlight Children’s Foundation and Young Epilepsy, as well as regional charities.
Returning for a second year as Official KidsFest Partner, Chery welcomed thousands of visitors across the three-day festival with a range of activities.
This includes the Chery Penalty Shootout Challenge and a interactive Happy Place Wall inviting attendees to share messages about the people, places and moments that bring them happiness.
Visitors also had the opportunity to explore Chery’s full line-up of Super Hybrid SUVs. Test drives proved popular throughout the weekend.
Evans said: “Every year we see some amazing fundraising initiatives and activations that reflect both the brand and the festival ethos, from our partners.
“Chery has shown such commitment to CarFest, creating a wonderful experience for families with their Penalty Shootout challenge, but also by bringing one of our most inspirational athletes to the festival.
“And then add the incredible £25,000 donation! It’s a great and effective partnership and we can’t wait to celebrate their 2nd birthday back at Silverstone next year!”
