Pye Motors is taking on Geely, Omoda and Jaecoo at its Kendal dealership.
The group is expanding its representation of Chinese brands with the addition of the three franchises.
Pye, ranked 189th in the Motor Trader Top 200 Dealer Groups with annual turnover of £41.9m, described the expansion as a period of “unprecedented diversification”.
Nick Payne, managing director of Pye Motors, said: “I am thrilled to announce some significant and exciting additions to the Pye Motors group as we celebrate our 101st year in business.
“We are actively expanding both our footprint and our franchise partnerships. This unprecedented period of diversification and opportunity is something our entire team has grasped with both hands, and I am incredibly proud of what we are building together.
“This month, we are launching Kendal Geely in a newly renovated building on the Mint Bridge Industrial Estate.
“We are also transforming our existing Kendal site into our second Omoda and Jaecoo dealership.”
Pye is also expanding its Morecambe operation to accommodate its second Chery dealership, joining its existing Chery site in Barrow. The group is also taking on the Lepas franchise.
The expansion will take the group from three Ford dealerships to a portfolio comprising two Ford sites, two Omoda and Jaecoo sites, two Chery sites, one Lepas site and one Geely site.
Payne added: “We are thrilled to welcome many new colleagues to the group and look forward to welcoming many new customers to Pye.
“While Ford has been, and always will be, a massive part of who we are, adding these high-quality brands to our group and the local area has been an absolute privilege.
“My team and I are genuinely excited to bring all these new buildings and brands to life.”
