Big Motoring World has deployed Jigcar’s AI-powered Transport Management System (TMS) to streamline the movement of up to 200 vehicles per day across its nationwide network.
The system has replaced manual, paper-based processes with a single, centralised system covering transport planning, route optimisation and a driver app, alongside digitised proof-of-collection and delivery.

“Jigcar’s TMS has delivered this by fully digitising the high volume of vehicle movements we make each day as we source stock, move vehicles in and out of our prep centres and around our retail stores.
“Our bottom line vehicle movement savings are already considerable and continue to grow, enabling us to concentrate on retailing cars to customers across the country.”
Big Motoring World operates across 11 retail sites and five vehicle prep centres.
The platform is being used to plan and control vehicle movements from auction houses and prep centres to retail sites and between retail sites.
At Big Motoring World’s Peterborough vehicle prep centre, a live check-in app now timestamps every vehicle on arrival regardless of origin, feeding a prep-to-transport dashboard that tracks stock through appraisal, prep and onward dispatch.
This is currently being rolled out across the group’s other prep and retail sites.
Jigcar is also automating the importing of vehicle purchase data from auction sources, cutting manual administration from the buying process through to delivery.
