NAMA appoints BCA director Robin Wilde as new chairman

The National Association of Motor Auctions (NAMA) has confirmed Robin Wilde, UK buyer development director at British Car Auctions as its new chairman.

Wilde will serve a two-year term, having been elected by the association’s membership.

A longstanding member of NAMA’s executive committee and a member of the senior management team at BCA, Robin brings extensive experience of the vehicle remarketing sector and will lead the association as it continues to promote best practice, transparency and professionalism across the motor auction industry.

Wilde said: “I am delighted to take on the role of NAMA Chairman and look forward to working with our members over the next two years.

“NAMA plays a vital role in promoting high standards across the motor auction industry and I am committed to building on the excellent work already undertaken to support transparency, professionalism and confidence throughout the sector.’

Paul Hill, spokesperson for NAMA, said: ‘Robin has been a valued member of the executive committee for many years and brings a wealth of industry knowledge, leadership and experience to the role.

“His commitment to raising standards and supporting the interests of NAMA members makes him exceptionally well placed to lead the association through its next chapter.”
