Independent retailer Scott Sibley, MD of Redgate Lodge, has joined the Autotrader Customer Advisory Group.
In a posting on LinkedIn he said the online classified giant played a significant role in the UK motor trade despite recent upheaval around the launch of Deal Builder.
“Over the last six months there has clearly been some dealer unrest and backlash within the industry.
“Decisions around the launch of new products such as Deal Builder have been met with resistance from many dealers, and there is an ongoing conversation across the sector about enquiry levels and the increasing search for alternative advertising channels.
“Despite that, I remain a huge supporter of Auto Trader. They play a massive part in our business and in the wider automotive retail landscape.
“If I can offer constructive feedback, both from my own experience running a dealership and from the many conversations I’ve had over the past months as a host of the Dealerpod, then I’m pleased to contribute.
“My hope is that by sharing honest dealer perspectives we can help build confidence in the platform and support improvements where needed,” said Sibley.
