Toyota has announced the winners of its annual Best Retailer in Town (BRIT) awards, with Vantage Toyota York winning the Best Retailer title. The centre also won an Ichiban Award (Large Retailer).
Throughout 2025 the team focused on core values – meeting the customer’s needs and making consistent improvements in operations and behaviours.
Dipash Chauhan, Centre Principal at Vantage Toyota York, said: “Awards are amazing, but they’re earned daily.
“We’ll keep focusing on people first: our customers, our colleagues and developing the next generation of leaders within the business.”
The Ichiban Award (Small Retailer) was won by Vantage Toyota Scarborough.
Peter Stableford, Centre Principal for the Centre, said: “It was great when we found out we had won the Ichiban Award. We always try to do the basics right and put customers at the heart of everything we do.
“We never set our goal out to be number one in the BRIT awards, we just do our best every day and the results then follow.”
Wales-based FRF Group won the Best Toyota Group award for the third year running.
The business’s FRF Toyota (Newport) centre also won an Ichiban Award (Medium Retailer).
Throughout 2025, FRF Group placed significant emphasis on people development. It has also refined the structure and the frequency of its business performance reviews.
Mark Radcliffe, Managing Director of FRF, said: “When we won the Best Group Award for the first time three years ago, it created a strong sense of pride across the team and sparked some fantastic conversations with our customers.
“Since then, we’ve been driven to improve year on year. In 2026, our focus remains the same: to build on what we’ve achieved by reviewing every aspect of the operation and identifying where we can grow, refine, and elevate our performance.”
