Used car supermarket Cartime has appointed Maciej Zydek as head of vehicle preparation.
Cartime operates three retail locations across the North West and stocks more than 1,000 used vehicles and employs 120 staff.
Zydek comes with extensive experience in senior operational leadership roles.
He will be responsible for developing a scalable vehicle preparation function capable of supporting increasing vehicle volumes while maintaining consistent quality and efficiency.
His role will focus on implementing lean operating practices, improving the use of data and systems across the preparation process, and building high-performing teams within cartime’s 70,000 sq ft preparation facility.
A key priority will be the introduction of improved IT systems, workflow management and automation to enhance operational visibility, support faster decision-making and create greater consistency across the vehicle preparation process.
Zydek will also work closely with external suppliers and contractors to ensure standards, accountability and performance remain aligned with cartime’s internal operations.
Zydek said: “I’m delighted to be joining cartime at such an important stage in its growth. The business has clear ambitions and a genuine willingness to invest in doing things the right way.
“My focus will be on building a modern vehicle preparation operation that supports our teams, delivers consistent quality and ultimately improves the experience for every customer.”
“Maciej’s appointment is a significant step forward for our business,” said Matt Kay, founder and CEO of cartime.
“His experience, leadership style and focus on continuous improvement make him a great fit. As we expand, it’s essential that our vehicle preparation standards and processes evolve with us, and Maciej will play a key role in shaping that.”
