LSH Auto is visiting schools and colleges across the Midlands and North West this month discussing the wide range of roles available within the automotive sector.
The team has already visited Tamworth College and will be speaking with students at Coventry College and several schools in Solihull and Greater Manchester over the coming weeks.
Becky Pitt, Talent Acquisition Specialist at LSH Auto, said: “We’re passionate about helping young people discover the opportunities available in the automotive industry. Many students may not realise just how many different career paths exist within a modern dealership, from technical roles through to customer service and parts operations.
“Events like careers fairs and our open evenings allow us to meet students face-to-face, answer their questions and give them a clear picture of what an apprenticeship with LSH Auto could look like.
“Becoming an apprentice is a fantastic way to earn money and gain a qualification while gaining experience in your chosen career. We currently have 47 apprentices working across our Mercedes-Benz dealerships in Birmingham, Solihull, Tamworth, Stockport, Macclesfield, and Whitefield.”
LSH Auto offers nine courses leading to NVQ Level 3 qualifications.
The three-year apprenticeships include Light Vehicle Technician, Retail Parts Advisor, Paint Technician, and Mechanical, Electrical, and Trim (MET) Technician.
Eighteen-month apprenticeships include Customer Service Expert.
LSH Auto’s Stockport facility is home to one of the largest Body, Paint & Preparation Centres in the UK and LSH Auto has partnered with Bolton College to offer specialist apprenticeships for Paint Technicians, Panel Beaters, and MET Technicians.
