Vertu Motors has taken on its first UK Geely Auto dealership in Glasgow. The Vertu Geely Glasgow South dealership is now open for business, with redevelopment of the site ongoing.
Geely launched in the UK in late 2025, initially with the all-electric Geely EX5: a five-seat family SUV priced at just under £32,000.
This was followed by the Starray EM-i Super Hybrid PHEV, which is available with a choice of two battery options, alongside a 1.5 litre petrol engine. Prices start from under £30,000.
These models have been refined for the UK market following a testing programme that includes input from chassis engineers at Lotus, also part of Geely Holding Group.
Chris McKenzie, regional director at Vertu Motors, said: “We are delighted to bring a new manufacturer to Glasgow and to have the honour of opening Vertu’s first Geely Auto dealership in the city.
“It gives us the opportunity to introduce our customers to some innovative new models, and with plenty more to come as Geely Auto grows in the UK. This is a hugely exciting time for everyone at the dealership.”
Robert Forrester, chief executive at Vertu Motors, said: “The launch of our first Geely Auto dealership is a major moment, and marks an exciting new chapter in our relationship with Geely Holding Group.
“Geely Auto has a strong, global reputation for producing innovative and affordable electric vehicles, and we are confident that the ever-expanding model line-up will prove to be popular with our customers.”
Adam Harkin, dealer development Director at Geely Auto UK, said: “We’re proud to partner with Vertu, as we bring Geely Auto to Glasgow.
“The Geely EX5 and the Starray EM-i represent the beginning of our journey to make advanced new energy vehicles accessible to all – combining technology, value and quality in one exceptional package.
“Working with a trusted partner like Vertu enables customers in Glasgow and beyond to experience Geely Auto first-hand, as we continue to build a national network.”
