Tates Cars has opened a new multi-million-pound Vauxhall retail site in Brighton & Hove.

Tates Vauxhall is a sales and aftersales centre serving the wider Sussex area, reintroducing the brand’s presence in the region following a long absence.

Eurig Druce, Vauxhall managing director & Stellantis UK group managing director, said: “The opening of the new Tates Vauxhall site is another step in our mission to energise a better Britain.

“The new retail site is a commitment from Vauxhall to strategically reassert itself within the Sussex area and is a significant opportunity to support our customers and meet a previously unaddressed industry demand.

“We look forward to customers experiencing our vision of a reimagined showroom that, from the outside in, transforms how customers can immerse themselves in the brand.”

Trevor Meadows, Tates Cars managing director, said: “The Tates Vauxhall store is a new representation of the brand in the Sussex market.”

Tates Cars is among the first retailers to display Vauxhall’s new corporate identity at its newly opened site. It presents a new design aesthetic that is progressive, detoxed, and British, reflecting the Vauxhall brand of today.

The site has 31 charging points. For aftersales service, the new centre has a six-bay workshop which can cater for the largest LCVs, plus an MOT bay.

Tates Vauxhall is part of the Tates Group, a family-run motor business which has been active for over 90 years.

Tates Motor Group is ranked 152 in the Motor Trader Top 200 Dealer Groups with annual turnover of £77.3m.
