Mid Sussex District Council has given the green light to a new Sytner Porsche centre in Sayers Common
The development will including sale and service areas, a workshop, parts storage, office accommodations, and an MOT testing facility.
The establishment of this new facility is expected to secure 55 existing jobs while also creating an additional 15 positions.
A standout component of the Porsche centre will be its workshop, which is designed to serve as a training base for technicians.
Sytner Group plans to engage with Mid Sussex Workplace and Education Business to facilitate work experience opportunities for young residents and offer educational talks at the new centre and local schools.
The development will incorporate specialist equipment necessary for servicing electric vehicles, along with a significant focus on technical training associated with this shift.
This project comes as the existing Porsche centre, currently situated at Innovation Drive in Burgess Hill, is slated to close once operations shift to the new location. The FM House site, which has been vacant for several years, comprises two linked buildings that were originally intended for office use and production activities.
