Swansway Motor Group has made a significant investment in its electric vehicle infrastructure, expanding its internal EV charging network to more than 100 charging points during 2025.

The upgrade supports the group’s rapidly growing electric vehicle sales performance.

John Smyth, Director at Swansway Motor Group, said: “We’ve seen a real acceleration in customer confidence around electric vehicles over the last 18 months and our sales growth reflects that.

“Expanding our charging point infrastructure is a critical step in supporting our teams and ensuring we’re fully equipped to handle increasing EV volumes across the business.”

The charging points are installed for internal use only, enabling technicians, vehicle preparation teams and operational staff to support a higher volume of EVs.

Fully electric vehicles accounted for 11% of Swansway Motor Group’s total vehicle sales in 2025, up from 6% the previous year.

This represents an 83% year on year increase in EV sales, reflecting an increase in customer confidence in electric motoring.

The Audi Q4 e-tron was Swansway Motor Group’s top selling electric model in 2025.

The Volkswagen ID.BUZZ also saw strong demand, followed by the BYD Dolphin.

Smyth added: “This investment isn’t just about capacity, it’s about future proofing our operations.

“By strengthening our internal infrastructure now, we’re making sure we can deliver the standards our customers expect while continuing to grow our EV proposition at pace.”
