Renault Retail Group is accelerating the roll-out of Impel AI customer assistant across its network of dealers.

It said the move would benefit the business and improve customer satisfaction levels.

Retail Renault Group UK managing director Luke Broad said: “This week we welcomed a new member of the Retail Renault Group UK team, Nicole, our AI powered virtual customer assistant.

“Nicole is being rolled out across all of our branches starting this month and will support the many thousands of enquiries our teams receive every month.

“She works 24/7, responds within minutes, and helps customers with questions about stock, finance and availability. She also helps qualify enquiries and follows up with customers who may have gone quiet or not yet completed their journey.

“This is not a change we make lightly. We believe AI should only be introduced where it benefits both the business and, most importantly, the customer experience.

“In this case it means customers receive faster, more consistent and more helpful responses to their enquiries. It also allows our sales teams to focus more of their time on customers who are further along in their buying journey.”

Renault Retail Group is ranked 44 in the Motor Trader Top 200 with annual turnover of £453.3m.
