The roll-out of the Pinewood dealer management system across the Marshall Motor Group is taking longer than expected and is now set for Q2 instead of Q1.
Pinewood announced on 22 October 2024 that it had entered a five-year contract with Marshall to implement the Pinewood.AI system.
It said since October 2024, Marshalls has added a significant number of new dealerships and brands to its portfolio, including Geely Auto, Omoda, Jaecoo, BYD and Genesis.
As a result of the change in timing of the Marshalls implementation, FY26 underlying EBITDA will be lower than current market expectations, it said in a trading statement.
Pinewood is also pushing ahead with the installation of its technology in Lookers dealerships. In February 13 stores went live across Lookers Mercedes-Benz stores. The rollout into the remaining Lookers dealers is scheduled to complete on time, in Q4 2026.
In the US Pinewood is looking to commence roll-out in Lithia dealerships in Q2 2026.
