Steven Eagell, chief executive of the Steven Eagell Group and the National Franchised Dealers Association met with Northampton South MP Mike Reader in a post Budget impact discussion.
The NFDA raised concerns surrounding the newly proposed EV Pay Per Mile scheme but welcomed the increased investment in the UK’s charging infrastructure announced in the Budget.
It also highlighted mileage fraud and the implications of the recent Supreme Court judgement and the FCA’s associated redress scheme consultation
During the visit, Reader also met with apprentices at the dealership, reflecting the vital role that automotive apprenticeships play in supporting future sector growth.
