Vauxhall has announced pricing and specification for the New Astra and Astra Sports Tourer across three trim levels – Griffin, GS, and Ultimate.
The Griffin, priced at £29,995 OTR, is the entry-level trim offering high specification as standard and the £31,495 GS model adds 18-inch black alloy wheels, a sportier bumper and black roof.
For £33,995, Ultimate is the range-topping trim for Astra and Astra Sports Tourer, adding greater connectivity, technology, and driver amenities.
All versions of the new Astra are priced well under the £40,000 threshold for the Expensive Car Supplement, saving customers £2,200 in VED (road tax) over the first six years of ownership.
Astra Electric is updated with a new 58.3kWh (gross) / 55.4kWh (net) battery.
An additional 22 miles has been gained to offer up to 281 miles of range for the hatchback, or 276 miles for the Sports Tourer (WLTP provisional).
Astra Electric supports 100kW DC rapid charging, enabling a 20-80% recharge in just 32 minutes.
An 11kW on-board charger is fitted as standard, enabling a 20-80% charge from an 11kW AC charger in 3h 20min, or 5 hours via a 7.4kW charger.
Further powertrain options come in the form of a plug-in hybrid and 48V hybrid.
Driving on electric power alone, the Astra Plug-in Hybrid offers a range of up to 52 miles (WLTP combined).
New Astra is available in seven colour options, including the new Contour White.
Hatchback and Sports Tourer models each feature an exclusive colourway with Electric Yellow for the hatchback and Clover Green making its debut on the Sports Tourer.
All colour options underline the distinctive appearance of Astra, in combination with the contrasting black roof available on all trim levels.
With the Electric All In offer, retail customers of Vauxhall’s electric range benefit from eight years of comprehensive roadside assistance, including emergency charging assistance.
