LSH Auto has raised funds for The Christie, Stockport County Trust and Birmingham Children’s Hospital through its Driving Home for Christmas events.
Mercedes-Benz of Stockport and Mercedes-Benz of Birmingham were transformed with Christmas markets and festive entertainment on 21 and 28 November.
Nikki Leonard, head of marketing for LSH Auto, said: “We kicked off the festive season in style and enjoyed welcoming new and old customers to our two events.
“We were really pleased to raise more than £1300 for our charity partners and to support local artisan businesses in the run up to Christmas.
“Both events were truly magical evenings that got everybody into the festive spirit.”
The Christie and Birmingham Children’s Hospital had stalls at the events selling Christmas cards.
Stockport County had a stall raising money for its Kits by County campaign, which provides PE kits to Stockport’s primary school pupils.
Stockport County’s mascot, Vernon Bear, challenged budding footballers to ‘Beat the Keeper’ in the BYD ‘Fun Zone’, which also included racing simulators, a 360-camera booth, face painting, and a magic mirror experience.
LSH Auto stalls sold sweets, hot chocolate, tea, coffee, mulled wine and prosecco, with all proceeds going to the charities.
Performances from local school choirs, dance companies, and bands included St Ambrose Prep School Choir and Steel Pot Band, MCR Dance Academy and Sale Brass Band in Stockport.
In Birmingham, the children of St Mary & John Catholic School gave a Christmas carol performance, and the year 11 students of BOA Performing Arts Academy sang songs from Disney’s Frozen.
