Lloyd has taken on the Maxus van franchise in Dumfries as it targets light commercial vehicle operators and businesses across south-west Scotland.

Lloyd Maxus offers sales, service and parts for the full Maxus range with a workshop and 13 technicians, three currently undergoing electric vehicle (EV) accreditation.

Lloyd has a nine-branch network located throughout northern England and southern Scotland.

The company was established in 1964 as a tractor dealer in Carlisle, since expanding into related markets.

Stuart Dalton, Lloyd Maxus dealer principal, said: “Partnering with Maxus complements our business perfectly.

“Our understanding of the business-to-business community also puts us in a great position to deliver the full MAXUS experience.”

“Aftersales is the absolute cornerstone of our business,” said Stuart Dalton, dealer principal at Lloyd Maxus

“Our customers depend on their equipment and vehicles for their livelihoods – we properly understand what uptime means. That’s why we’ve invested in skilled people, EV training and full parts support from day one.

Dalton pointed to Lloyd’s own use of the Maxus product, “We run a Maxus Deliver 9 as a parts van, which has already clocked up more than 50,000 miles in just six months without missing a beat. Our mobile technicians also use Maxus vans out in the field, trouble-free. The fact we rely on them ourselves speaks volumes about the brand.
