The Kia EV2 is Kia’s latest model to join the EV3, EV4 and PV5 Passenger in gaining support from the UK Government’s Electric Car Grant (ECG).

From today, the Kia EV2 ‘First Edition’ is now eligible for the £1,500 ECG. The ECG replaces the £1,500 ‘Kia EV2 Reservation Saving that was introduced for the EV2 ‘First Edition’ on 1 April, as part of Kia’s latest quarterly offers.

Powered by a 42.2kWh Standard Range battery, the Kia EV2 ‘First Edition’ delivers up to 190 miles of range (WLTP combined) and 10–80% charging in just 29 minutes.

Now qualifying for Tier 2 of the ECG, the ‘First Edition’ benefits from a £1,500 reduction on its £28,495 on-the-road price, reducing the cost to £26,995 on-the-road, with order books open now ahead of first deliveries later in 2026.

The £3,750 ‘Kia EV2 Reservation Saving’ offer continues for the EV2 ‘Air’, ‘GT-Line’ and ‘GT-Line S’, with news on ECG eligibility for these variants to come later in the year.

Kia now offers the EV2, EV3, EV4 and PV5 Passenger with the Electric Car Grant. Each of these models are available to order now at Kia dealerships and PBV Centres.
