Online car repairs platform FixMyCar, which trades as WhoCanFixMyCar.com, has been the subject of an MBO from parent company Niterra EMEA, formerly NGK Spark Plug.

The platform started 14 years ago and was acquired by Niterra in May 2023. Following a strategic review, Niterra decided to exit the business via an MBO.

The management buyout team consists of Amanda Webb (pictured) who will stay in position as CEO, Ben Darby who switches from marketing director to COO and Matt Wrankmore, who moves from head of garage network to chief customer officer.

Webb said, “This management buyout presents a fantastic opportunity for FixMyCar and its employees, at a time of great change within the UK aftermarket.

Damien Germès, president & CEO Niterra EMEA, said: “Following a strategic review of our activities in the EMEA region and in alignment with our updated group portfolio strategy, we concluded that an independent ownership structure provides a suitable framework for FixMyCar’s continued development.

“We thank the management team for their commitment and wish them success in the next phase of the company’s evolution.”
