Evans Halshaw will represent Changan in Chester this Spring.
Evans Halshaw Changan Chester follows in the footsteps of Chinese OEMs Geely, Omoda & Jaecoo and Chery all joining the business since January.
Adam Fletcher, Group Vice President of Evans Halshaw, said: “We are pleased to add Changan to our network – it is a globally significant manufacturer with a strong heritage and a clear focus on innovation, which makes it a compelling addition to our portfolio.
“As the UK market continues to evolve, it is important that we are able to introduce new brands that bring customer choice, advanced technology and a strong product pipeline.
“Changan aligns well with that direction, and we are looking forward to supporting its growth as it establishes itself in the UK.”
The move reflects Evans Halshaw’s confidence in new OEMs entering the UK, particularly those with strong international scale offering a range of all-electric and hybrid vehicles.
Customer demand is shifting towards more efficient, connected and electrified vehicles.
New entrants such as Changan are playing an increasingly important role in shaping the competitive landscape, offering fresh product propositions and accelerating innovation across the market.
