Evans Halshaw has opened two new BYD stores today, expanding its BYD footprint to seven UK locations.
Evans Halshaw will operate a new Wolverhampton site, located on Bilston Road, while Evans Halshaw BYD Mansfield is located at the former Evans Halshaw Peugeot site on Oaktree Lane.
Robert Hamilton, Market Area Director of Evans Halshaw BYD, said: “With UK BYD sales soaring at a staggering 880% in the last 12 months, we are delighted to open not one, but two new BYD stores on the same day.
“Evans Halshaw BYD has been on a strong upwards trajectory over the past 12 months and the new BYD dealerships in Wolverhampton and Mansfield are testament to the growth of sales and interest in electric cars.
“As well as seeing us expand our staff numbers with new team members and experts, the stores allow us to bring BYD’s cutting-edge electric vehicles to even more customers and to those who are keen to explore their options.
“We are looking forward to welcoming new and existing customers through our doors from this week and supporting them on their EV journeys.’”
Evans Halshaw BYD Wolverhampton site will provide customers with access to BYD’s full range of electric vehicles, including the Seal, Seal U DMI, Sealion, Dolphin, Dolphin Surf, Atto2 and Atto 3.
The store will offer sales and test drives, with servicing and aftersales support following in early 2026.
Evans Halshaw BYD Mansfield will also offer sales and test drives, alongside servicing and aftersales support. The sites will also offer expert support from trained EV specialists.
The Evans Halshaw Peugeot team will move to the former Fiat and Abarth store on Southwell Road West.
The Evans Halshaw Fiat and Abarth colleagues will be moving into and operating alongside the existing Evans Halshaw Citroen store, located next door.
