Eastern Western Motor Group has taken on its fourth Chery franchise.  The group has opened a Chery dealership in Stirling, joining existing Chery dealerships in Dundee, Edinburgh West and Edinburgh East.

“Delighted to announce we are adding a fourth Chery dealer, this time in Stirling, said Eastern Western group managing director Keith Duncan.

“The Chery brand has had a great start in Dundee, Edinburgh West & Edinburgh East, and Stirling will without doubt, be another success story,” he posted on LinkedIn.

“The four Chery sites are in the process of creating permanent showrooms and these combined with a brilliant product, in tune with a budget-conscious trading environment and even more new products in 2026, should see the brand hit new highs in Central and Eastern Scotland in 2026,” he said.

Chery announced it was moving into the UK market in July last year, launch with two SUVs.

UK CEO Gary Lan, who leads OMODA&JAECOO UK and now Chery UK, said: “Chery’s introduction to the UK market this summer not only shows Chery’s commitment to growth, but also reflects our confidence in the UK automotive sector, and the appeal of our vehicles to local buyers. Expect the same innovation, style, technology focus, and exceptional value.”

The UK market strategy features UK-optimised Chery models and combines traditional franchise dealerships with emphasis on warranty and aftermarket care.

Chery UK country director, Farrell Hsu, said: “We’ve been working behind the scenes, learning from our experience with other Chery International-derived brands in the UK, and have taken this time to refine and refresh our approach to this important market. We look forward to sharing more details on Chery’s UK introduction soon.”
