Vertu Motors CEO Robert Forrester was among a group of UK dealers who took part in a trip to China to visit the BYD HQ, manufacturing facilities and the first Flash Charging Centre in Shenzhen.
Marcus Hazelwood, UK Head of Retail Sales at BYD UK, who helped organsise the visit posted on LinkedIn: “This week I had the pleasure of hosting several of our retailer partners on a visit to BYD’s global HQ in Shenzhen, China.
“From learning about BYDs heritage and history, to viewing future products and state of the art manufacturing facilities in Zhengzhou – seeing BYD in its home market was a truly unique and incredible experience.
“Last week we announced the launch of BYDs Flash Charging solution ~ charging from 10% to 97% in just 9 minutes.
“We were fortunate to visit the first BYD Flash Charging centre in Shenzhen and I can honestly say this will be a real game changer for EV adoption globally.
“A big thanks to everyone who came on the trip and made it so enjoyable… now time to get back to closing out March and Q1!
