Dealer Auction launches retail-ready stock source for dealers

Dealer Auction has launched an all-new retail ready stock source for dealers. This stock is sourced via Dealer Auction’s new overage solution, Make Me an Offer, which allows franchise retailers to automatically list ageing vehicles on the platform while they remain live on Auto Trader.

Following the initial pilot phase, there have been over 2,000 retail-ready vehicles listed across Dealer Auction, from retailers including Brindley, Pentagon and Perrys.

Because they remain live on AutoTrader, sellers can continue marketing to consumers while receiving genuine trade offers in the background.

For buyers, it provides access to prepared vehicles directly from retail forecourts, ready to list as soon as they arrive onsite. On average, these vehicles are younger, have lower mileage, and hold a higher retail value.

Jason Symes at Dealer Auction said, “The challenge for retailers isn’t just finding stock, it’s quickly finding the right stock at the right price.

“With competition for vehicles showing no signs of slowing down, we want to bring more vehicles into our platform to make it easier than ever for retailers to access a broad array of vehicles that fit their stock profile.

“By bringing fresh retail ready stock into Dealer Auction, we’re giving buyers greater choice. And we’re doing it with buyer fees that are much lower than other routes.”

Dealer Auction said the UK’s used car market continues to grapple with a reduced supply of vehicles, which is still lagging 13.2% below pre-pandemic levels.
