Cox Motor Group is to represent Chery and Xpeng after running the rule over a number of Chinese brands.
The North West based group that recently celebrated 25 years in the business will represent the Chinese brands across their existing four locations.
Managing director David Cox said, “These are such important strategic partnerships. They bring renewed economy of scale and synergy by creating multi-branding at all four of our sites.
“We’ve wanted to broaden our new car sales appeal in our region and after careful consideration we’re convinced these brands are the way to do just that.
“The ambition of Chery in the UK is quite remarkable and we are perfectly placed to deliver high volumes in a customer centric, orderly manner.
“We’re also extremely excited about working with Xpeng and their impressive looking EV offering.
The Chery and Xpeng brands add to their existing partnerships with Volkswagen, Honda, MG and SEAT, talking their total franchised outlet number to 14.
Cox Motor Group is ranked 134 in the Motor Trader Top 200 Dealer Groups with annual turnover of £105.4m.
