Chariots Specialist Cars has announced the acquisition of the former Suzuki dealership on Leicester Road, Rugby.
The site is now open to the public and trading as a franchised BYD dealership with full manufacturer support. Chariots also represents BYD in Kettering.
Temporary signage is currently in place while formal works are undertaken to fully incorporate BYD’s corporate identity and branding.
Chariots is a family-owned business that was founded in 2011.
Pav Panesar from Knight Frank’s Automotive team advised Chariots on the acquisition.
BYD has been expanding fast in the UK. It ended 2025 with a total of 125 franchised dealership sites across the nation. Just 12 months ago, the brand’s presence consisted of only 52 dealers.
The retailer network now consists of 38 partners – 18 of which were new to the business this year.
