Carwow has predicted strong and sustained demand through Q1 of 2025, particularly for used cars.

Used car enquiries placed with dealers via Carwow increased dramatically during Q4 2024, up by 49% versus the same period in 2023, while new car enquiries rose by 12%.

There was a 14% increase in overall visits to Carwow between Christmas and New Year, compared to 2023. Over 750 cars were listed in Carwow’s online auctions on 27th December alone.

Ben Carter, chief customer & marketing officer at Carwow, said: “Our data shows that the New Year often triggers car-changing research for many consumers.

“Retailers can maximise their chances of success by using Carwow to acquire used stock, which they can then advertise to millions of consumers to drive sales on both Carwow and Auto Express.

“Across the Carwow Group, we attracted almost 200 million visitors during 2024, with visitors to Carwow alone up by nearly a quarter on the previous year.”

A recent Carwow survey found that 30% of car buyers are now more likely to buy used than new.

Carwow encourages dealers to ensure forecourts are replenished appropriately and that stock is advertised wisely.

Last year, Carwow acquired Autovia, a portfolio of traffic driving brands including Auto Express, Carbuyer, Driving Electric and evo.

Carwow’s overall visitor numbers were up by 23% in 2024, year–on-year.
