Former Big Motoring World boss Peter Waddell is in the High Court fighting to wrest back control of the business.
He is suing his own business after being sacked over allegations he made offensive comments towards staff.
In 2022, Waddell sold a third share of the business to private equity firm Freshstream for £72m.
In 2024 he was ousted from his role after an internal investigation found that he made a series of comments towards staff, some of which amounted to harassment, bullying and race discrimination. Waddell denies the allegations.
Peter Waddell Holdco is seeking to get himself reinstated and get control of the business.
The case, number BL-2024_000559 ‘Peter Waddell Holdco Limited and another v Bluebell Cars Holding Limited and others’ is being heard by Mr Justice Marcus Smith.
