The automotive law team from Radius Law is set to join UK top-100 law firm Cripps on 1 May 2026.
Radium said the move will strengthen the firm’s commercial law capabilities and establish a dedicated automotive sector offering.
Radius Law founder and former Mercedes-Benz UK Group General Counsel, Iain Larkins, will join Cripps as a partner, alongside other members of the Radius team, who will largely be based in the firm’s London office.
The team has extensive experience advising businesses across the automotive industry, having represented 16 automotive manufacturer brands, major dealer groups, trade associations and a wide range of organisations operating across the sector.
Their arrival at Cripps comes at a time of significant transformation for the automotive industry as manufacturers and retailers respond to electrification, digitalisation, new market entrants and evolving regulatory frameworks.
Radium law will continue co-hosting the 5th Annual Automotive Business and Law Conference with The Motor Ombudsman on 20 May 2026.
James Beatton, managing partner at Cripps, said: “Iain and his team bring exceptional sector expertise and strong relationships across the automotive industry. Their arrival strengthens our commercial practice and enables us to build a dedicated automotive sector capability within the firm.”
Iain Larkins added: “We are enormously excited to be joining Cripps. Everyone I have met at the firm shares the same values we have at Radius — delivering practical commercial advice while focusing on making a positive and lasting impact for our clients, people, community and planet.
“Joining Cripps gives our team a strong platform to continue supporting automotive clients while offering access to the broader capabilities of a full-service law firm.”
