In December the Automotive 30% Club published the results of their annual female representation survey, revealing that the member companies have collectively achieved their KPI of 30% of leadership roles filled by women.
The target has been achieved five years earlier than the target date of 2030. This figure is well ahead of the sector average of only 10.5%.
The Club covers 115,000 automotive employees, and 32% of them are female – a much higher proportion than the sector average of only 18.6%, according to IMI figures.
Inclusive leadership at all levels of the business, and the removal of bias and discrimination, is key.
The CEO and MD members of the Auto30Club, along with their People and Culture professionals, have made important changes to ensure they no longer have policies and processes that exclude female talent.
This opens the door to a much wider pool of high performing people.
The change has been accelerated by hardworking people at all levels in the member organisations who are championing inclusion.
