Auto Trader chief operating officer Catherine Faiers is leaving the company to take up the CEO role at listed cards to flowers group Moonpig. The move was announced to the London Stock Exchange on Friday.
Posting on LinkedIn Faiers said: “After eight incredible years at Autotrader , it’s time for me to say goodbye (soon but not just yet!)
“This has been one of the hardest decisions I’ve ever made — Autotrader has been such a huge part of my life; eight years that honestly feel more like eight minutes in Autotrader time!
“It was always going to take something exceptional to move me — and this opportunity is just that.
“I’m beyond excited to be joining the team at Moonpig, a business with such a strong brand, clear purpose, and huge potential to grow and bring joy to its customers every single day.
“I can’t wait to help shape the next chapter working alongside another brilliant team of people.
Nathan Coe, CEO of Autotrader, said: “We are grateful for Catherine’s contribution to Autotrader over the past eight years.
“She has demonstrated extraordinary commitment, strong values and a deep care for Autotrader and its people, customers and shareholders.
“Catherine has been instrumental to many of the changes we have made in the business and will be missed.
“However, we are in the fortunate position to have a depth of talent at Autotrader enabling us to continue with our existing strategy and plans without interruption. We wish her every success in her new role.”
